Fellow Binancians, To improve clarity and align interest charges more closely with actual borrowing time, Binance Margin will update the interest calculation method for Margin Loans. This update takes effect on 2026-04-30 08:00 (UTC). Please review the new rules and plan your borrowing and trading accordingly. Key Changes Starting from 2026-04-30 08:00 (UTC), the first interest charge for a new Margin Loan will be calculated on a prorated basis, according to the actual time elapsed between the fund borrowing time and the next hourly settlement time. After the first interest period, interest will continue to accrue once per hour on the standard hourly schedule until the loan is fully repaid. First interest period Interest begins accruing as soon as the loan is created. For the first interest period only, interest is calculated proportionally based on the actual number of seconds from the borrowing time to the next hourly calculation time. Formula: First interest = Principal amount * Hourly interest rate * (Actual seconds / 3,600) Subsequent hourly interest After the first interest period ends, interest will be charged once every hour based on a full one-hour period. Interest will continue to accrue until the outstanding loan is fully repaid. Example: If a user borrows 10,000 USDT at 2026-04-30 05:30:49.171112 (UTC), the borrowing time used for calculation will be processed as 2026-04-30 05:30:49 (UTC). If the hourly interest rate is 0.0004%, then: Old rule: 10,000 * 0.0004% = 0.04 USDTNew rule: 10,000 * 0.0004% * [(3,600 - (30 * 60 + 49)) / 3,600] = 0.01945556 USDT The next hourly interest calculation will take place at 2026-04-30 06:00:00 (UTC). After that, interest will accrue on a full-hour basis for each hourly period. Note: There may be discrepancies between this original content in English and any translated versions.
